Music!!!
Damn, this piece is driving me mad. I don’t want to go down the route of “let’s add some taiko drum loops for the combat layer” …… heh! This used to be easy in the good old Nintendo cartridge days!

I sure remember those days of the Nintendo 64. Your music really made my childhood, to be honest!
Well, those times are gone and it’s time to move forward. From the looks of it, it doesn’t sound like you’re too cheery about things…
Well, just keep in there, Mr. Kirkhope, I’m sure you’ll find something. Always have, always will!

I think you should join Retro Studios
In many ways, they are today what Rear used to be, not the least of which in their relationship with nintendo!
How nice wouldn’t it be able to, among other things, write some more DK tunes? (Which I still hold firmly is some of the best music you’ve written – indeed, some of the best in the industry!)

It’s nice to see I’m not the only one who misses the old Nintendo days. I pretty much hate what the video game industry is turning into…
Would you consider composing/releasing original music online? If I found you had an album of original work that would be for sale on Amazon for $100, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it and maybe copies for some of my friends/coworkers.

Well, looks like Grant’s company has gone tits-up:

Any idea yet where you’ll end up?

Well you are a brilliant composer Mr. Kirkhope, the coolest thing you could do is to make a fully orchestrated soundtrack of Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, that would be the ultimate fan service, or work for Nintendo.

That’s terrible news, Grant.

I sure hope you’ll find new work in the games business, if you haven’t already. You really bring something unique to the table, and I never get tired of listening to your N64 soundtracks. I look forward to hearing your next work!

I agree with Brandon, Mr.Kirkhope!
You really made my life with Banjo Kazooie’s music. It’s something I can listen to anywhere!
I understand why you weren’t too happy with RARE. I was kinda disappointed too. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll smarten up, and god forbid me dreaming, BAnjo Kazooie 3DS. *crosses fingers*
You’re very talented, and thank you for hours of great music to whistle to with my siblings. ^.^

Well, Grant, things don’t sound good for 38 Studios or BHG, so maybe just maybe we can hope to see you back with Nintendo somehow. I know it’ll be without Rare, but Nintendo could REALLY benefit from more talented musicians such as yourself. Seriously, you’re right up there with Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu.

I say go for Nintendo, Grant! I don’t think they’ll be losing business anytime in the future, so it won’t hurt to try!
