Stop ‘n Swop

Ok, since Mr. Lerako has asked I’ll tell everything I remember about Stop ‘n Swop, even though I’m sure you’re going to be disappointed! It was some of the “boffins” on the “GoldenEye” team that discovered that the N64 retained the data in it’s RAM for around 10 seconds after the power was turned off. So we knew that if we could get the cartridge out and another one in it would be possible to transfer information between games. It all worked great but Nintendo didn’t like the idea as they thought they’d get lots of complaints from mad parents whose kids had wrecked their consoles by ramming games in too hard in a rush to get them changed before the time ran out, I remember it was right at the end of Banjo – Kazooie as I had to write the little tunes that went with the areas really quickly….. and that really is all that I can remember, Perhaps Mr, Gregg Mayles will chime in with some more details when he reads this?
